Any thoughts on teething?

Activity:
Don't give the kid anything she will choke on, but a large cold carrot makes a good teething ring. Page 26 of Supernanny (you can buy it here in the popular books section) has a good list of the signs of and reliefs for teething. Any have any more ideas to add?

Teething idea

Activity:
Our teether loves to gnaw on semi-frozen blueberries. The cold feels good and the sweetness taste great. We use semi-frozen so the berries turn to mush fairly quickly in his mouth thus avoiding any choking hazards.

Baby's and discipline

Activity:
According to Supernanny, discipline begins somewhere around 6 months. This should be more in the era of habit-setting than hard discipline. I mean, if the kid is screaming, you cover the mouth until he stops. But right now is the time to set good behavior patterns and stamp out the bad ones.

Routines and babys

Activity:
A two-month-old baby can't be rammed into a routine, especially a colicky baby.

Can you spoil a baby?

Activity:
I don't think so. All the books I have read say that you can't. But, as they grow, try getting them into a light routine with the feeding and sleeping.

Wrapping babies in a blanket using the swaddle method helps them feel secure and calm.
